Where old-world character meets elevated designโoriginal refinished hardwood floors, oversized loft windows, stainless steel appliances, tall ceilings, and rich cabinetry.
At 66 Troy Street, The Merrill Building brings a rare survivor of Fall Riverโs industrial era into contemporary downtown life. Dating to the early 1870s, the four-story red-brick factory became home to the Union Belt Company, a local maker of oak-tanned leather belts, loom straps and other equipment that kept textile mills running. Following a historic rehabilitation completed in 2025, its upper floors now hold 36 studio and one-bedroom lofts, where refinished original hardwood, tall ceilings and oversized windows preserve the buildingโs hardworking character alongside polished modern finishes. Listed on the National Register in 2026, The Merrill offers an authentic piece of the cityโs manufacturing story.
